Acal BFi, Quantum Light Sign Distribution Deal

Advanced electronic supplier Acal BFi Ltd. has signed a pan-European distribution agreement with laser developer Quantum Light Instruments Ltd., covering most of western Europe. 

The agreement enables Acal BFi to bring a range of Quantum Light Instruments’ compact, air-cooled DPSS Q-switched lasers to market, operating at low repetition rates and high energy. 

Current laser models are available at 211, 1053 and 1064 nm. Models can feature TEM00 or top-hat beam profile, with energy of up to 40 mJ, a <7-ns pulse duration and peak power of 6 MW. 

The lasers are an ideal tool for a wide range of applications including laser induced breakdown spectroscopy, pulsed light deposition, time of flight spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization, remote sensing, laser ablation and mask marking.
