Hybrid Fiber Lasers for Fast Precision Micromachining

The Quasar® is a new hybrid fiber laser ideal for ITO patterning, glass cutting and drilling, solar cell processing, PCB drilling, Si wafer dicing, LED processing, PCB cutting and depaneling, ceramic processing, Si micromachining, HDI (high density interconnects), low K dielectric grooving and more.

Quasar hybrid fiber lasers use a unique design to combine fiber laser, power amplifier, and patented harmonic technologies to enable TimeShift™ technology. This technology provides a constant pulse width over a wide range of PRF, a variable pulse width, pulse shaping, pulse splitting, and Burst mode operation.

This series is comprised of two different fiber laser types; UV (>45 W at 225µJ) and Green (>75 W at 375µJ). Both lasers operate over a wide repetition rate range, from 0-1 MHz for ultra-high speed micromachining and output excellent beam characteristics with low noise.
