Ultra-Compact SWNIR Mini-Spectrometer: C11708MA
Hamamatsu’s C11708MA miniature spectrometer offers SWNIR sensitivity and ultra-compact size. Its small package (27.6 x 13 x 16.8 mm) is easily mounted on a circuit board, so it can be used as a sensor in portable measurement equipment.
Constructed using Hamamatsu’s advanced MEMS and optical technologies; the C11708MA features a CMOS linear image sensor integrated with an entrance slit, as well as a grating formed on a convex lens by nanoimprinting. The CMOS image sensor has 256 pixels, each measuring 12.5 x 1000µm. The image sensor’s spectral sensitivity ranges from 640 nm to 1050 nm, and its high SWNIR sensitivity is suitable for analyzing food contents and other materials. Other features include a spectral resolution of 20 nm.
An evaluation circuit board, the C11351, is available (sold separately) for easily evaluating the characteristics of the C11708MA. This circuit board is powered via a USB2.0 connection, has 16-bit A/D conversion, and allows integration times from 5 ms to 10 seconds.
