IMRA America's FCPA µJewel D-10K is the latest in its line of ultrashort pulse fiber laser products developed for industrial applications. The ultrashort pulse fiber laser builds on the 5 years of experience IMRA has accumulated in micro-Joule fiber amplifier manufacturing and applying this reliable and robust proprietary fiber laser technology. The D-10K outputs 1040 nm, sub-700 fs pulses with an average power of 10 W at 1 MHz (10 µJ per pulse) from a compact optical head. Designing the system with the pump laser diode mounted in the controller allows for a passive air-cooled optical head for vibration-free performance.

The D-10K ultrashort pulse fiber laser joins the FCPA µJewel product line that includes the original D-400 (400 mW average power), D-1000 (1 W average power) and D-3000 (3 W average power).

The modest pulse energy at MHz repetition rate enables faster processing speeds for a range of micromachining applications such as general cutting and drilling, thin film machining, silicon wafer dicing, sapphire wafer scribing, surface texturing, pulsed laser deposition and nanoparticle generation.

The performance and reliability demonstrated by IMRA's FCPA technology make it a good candidate for 24/7 manufacturing applications in the semiconductor, photovoltaic, medical device and other industries where laser performance variability cannot be tolerated.
