ZC&R's heat control filters are a special type of dichroic filter used to remove unwanted energy from the light emitted by a source. A common example is the use of hot mirrors in very bright spotlights used in entertainment applications. Heat control filters are able to separate the unwanted infrared, perceived as heat by people, from the visible light desired.

  • HM-VS-950 – Hot Mirrors - Affordable and reliable, these filters transmit the visible spectrum and reflect the infrared at normal incidence.
  • HM-UV-1050 – UV-Pass Hot Mirrors are designed to transmit >80 percent (average) from 245-460 nm and reflect >70 percent (average) from 800-1050 nm at normal incidence.
  • HM-VS-1150 – Color Neutral Hot Mirrors transmit the visible spectrum and reflect the infrared. Color Neutral Hot Mirrors are ideal for imaging applications requiring color fidelity.
  • HM-VS-1500 – Extreme Performance Hot Mirrors offer enhanced UV blocking.
  • HM-VS-1600 – Extended-Wavelength, IR Blocker Hot Mirrors cover a wider waveband in the infrared.
