A Double-colour Raman fibre laser has been designed to be used for simultaneously pumping fiber amplifiers at both 1.3 microns and at 1.5 micron region. The output of this laser is 1.05W at 1239 nm and 0.95W at 1484 nm respectively.

This simultaneous double-color Raman fiber laser with output powers of nearly 1 Watt at both 1.24 micron and 1.48 micron makes it very attractive to pump amplifiers in both 1.3 micron and at 1.55 micron region simultaneously.
